Sōzoku Shita Sofu no Ie no Urayama ni Danjon ga Dekimashita - Chapter 92

Takuya and Misuzu Have the Pouch Appraised

After leaving the dungeon, Misuzu and I brought the items we’d found in the treasure chest to the appraisal counter.

While the appraiser got to work, we decided to head over to report to the branch manager.

Our mission had been to pass through the fifth basement floor and reach the transfer stone located in the tunnel leading to the sixth floor. We’d made it there successfully, and it was time to deliver the good news.

Unfortunately, when I asked the receptionist for a meeting, she informed us that the branch manager was off today.

The Adventurers’ Guild runs year-round, so staff members take turns getting days off.

With no other choice, we left a message with the receptionist and made our way back to the appraisal counter.

The results were in.

Both of the potions we’d found were just low-grade.

As for the pouch—it turned out to be a storage bag.

The two tied with red strings had no time-stop function but could hold up to about twenty kilograms each.

The one with a pale-blue string, on the other hand, had a time-stop function—but only a ten-kilogram capacity.

It seemed that having the time-stop function reduced the amount you could store.

According to the appraiser, all three were D-rank items.

Good performance overall, but with such small capacity, they couldn’t be rated any higher.

Thinking about it, ten kilograms isn’t much—two five-kilo bags of rice from the supermarket would fill it completely.

Still, since we didn’t have any storage bags before, this was a lucky find!

And it was all thanks to Snow.

When we got home, I was going to give her so many cuddles.

Just as we started walking toward the second-floor cafeteria, a group of strangers stopped us.

Two men and two women.

“Excuse us. We’re a newly-formed adventurer party called Akebono,” one of the men said, bowing.

“What’s the matter?” I asked.

“We’ve been hoping to get a storage bag too, but they’re too expensive. We were talking about whether we could find one ourselves in the dungeon when we saw you… If it’s not too much trouble, could you tell us where you got yours?” he asked, and all four bowed deeply.

Unlike with the Sky Castle, there was no need to keep this a secret, so we decided to tell them.

“There’s a forest on the fourth basement floor. In it, there’s a big tree—when we dug around its roots, we found a small treasure chest. But I can’t say whether you’ll find others like it elsewhere,” I explained.

“Thank you!” the four said before turning to discuss something among themselves.

With that, Misuzu and I continued to the cafeteria.

At the ticket vending machine, I chose a fruit parfait.

Misuzu went for a pudding à la mode.

As we enjoyed our sweets, we talked about how to use the new items.

Misuzu claimed the time-stop pouch for herself—since she cooks often, the ability to keep ingredients fresh was a huge plus for her. She was practically glowing with joy.

I took one of the red-string pouches without the time-stop function.

Now I wouldn’t have to lug around a backpack anymore.

Hands-free dungeon exploration—nice!

We decided to give the remaining pouch and the two low-grade potions to Kenta.

With the light spirit Freesia and the holy magic–wielding Shiratama on our side, we didn’t really have any need for potions.

After that, we sat and chatted, waiting for Kenta and the others to return.
