Sōzoku Shita Sofu no Ie no Urayama ni Danjon ga Dekimashita - Chapter 85

Takuya and Misuzu Go to the Sky Castle Again

We are currently in the branch manager’s office.

Misuzu and I came to the dungeon to bring supplies like preserved food and toilet paper to our rooms in the Sky Castle.

I’m wearing the wind-themed equipment I obtained.

It’s the matching set with Misuzu’s, just in a different color!

It’s light, the fabric is smooth, and it feels incredibly comfortable to wear.

Plus, Misuzu said, “It suits you really well!” which doubled my happiness!

Just as we were about to enter the dungeon, the clerk told us, “The branch manager is calling you,” so we came to the manager’s office.

“Takuya, Misuzu, how far into the dungeon have you gone?” the manager asked.

I replied, “Up to the lake on the third basement level.”

Then the manager said, “You two are the highest-ranked in the branch, so if you’ve only made it to the third floor, other explorers won’t take you seriously. I want you to push further.”

“The immediate goal is to defeat the floor boss on the fifth level. After that, a rocky door will open. Beyond the door, there’s a staircase leading to the sixth basement level. If you climb that staircase, you’ll find a stone room. Touching the teleportation stone in that room will instantly bring you back to the teleportation stone on the first basement floor. So please reach the teleportation stone between the fifth and sixth floors as soon as possible,” the manager explained.

I said, “We’ll proceed at our own pace without overdoing it,” and glanced at Misuzu sitting beside me.

Misuzu said, “If Takuya is going, I’ll go with you!”

Since summer vacation just started, we can take it easy.

After all, it’s a request from the manager, not an obligation.

After leaving the manager’s office, we headed into the dungeon toward the Sky Castle as originally planned.

Like last time, Anemone’s wind magic lifted us up to the clouds.

Upon reaching the clouds, Misuzu summoned Snow.

Once Snow safely joined us, we walked toward the castle.

After arriving at the castle, we headed to the audience chamber to meet the high-ranking spirit.

The branch manager had asked us to express our gratitude for the spirits’ help in defeating the monsters, so we wanted to take care of that first.

Also, Misuzu and I planned to thank the spirits again for granting us rooms inside the castle.

The wind high spirits said they defeated the monsters for their own sake, not for humans.

So, there was no need to worry about it.

They also said they would show no mercy to anyone who harms the fairies they protect.

We then went to our rooms inside the castle.

I put away the cup noodles I brought from the surface, stocked toilet paper in the restroom, and prepared everything so that we wouldn’t be troubled whenever we came.

Misuzu said she was sweaty and would take a shower in her room.

She had brought a bath towel, too.

As expected, she’s well prepared.

I stepped out onto the balcony of my room and looked outside.

The grass on the plains swayed gently in the wind.
