Sōzoku Shita Sofu no Ie no Urayama ni Danjon ga Dekimashita - Chapter 103

The Enchanted Bow's Secret

After reporting our findings to the branch manager, Misuzu and I made our way to the appraiser to learn the true nature of the bow we had found in the treasure chest.

The appraiser greeted us with a gleam of excitement in his eyes and launched straight into the results.

"To cut to the chase—this bow is an A-rank item!"

My heart skipped a beat.

“When you channel magical energy into it, the bowstring materializes automatically through magic,” the appraiser explained, already sounding thrilled. “And that’s not all—it can fire three different types of magical arrows: fire, water, and light.”

He leaned forward, animated.

“For instance, if the user envisions a fire arrow, the bow will instantly conjure a flaming projectile—no need to carry physical arrows!”

Misuzu’s eyes widened, clearly impressed.

“And there’s more. If the wielder holds the Archer job, they’ll gain two passive boosts: enhanced attack power and an accuracy bonus. The bow increases attack power by 120%, so you’re looking at a 20% damage boost. And with the accuracy correction, you’ve got roughly a 20% chance to land a critical hit on your intended target!”

The appraiser was practically glowing as he spoke.

“It’s been a while since I got to appraise something this rare!”

His enthusiasm was infectious.

This bow wasn’t just good—it was extraordinary.

It felt wrong to sell it. Sure, we could fetch a massive sum if we put it up at auction, but I had a feeling we’d never get our hands on something like this again. Besides, it’s not like we were in dire need of money.

We could always lease it out to other adventurers like investors do and earn a steady stream of rental income.

I turned to Misuzu. “I’m thinking we should hold on to this instead of selling. What do you think?”

She nodded without hesitation. “I agree. There's no need to sell it right away.”

And so, we decided to store the bow safely. For now, I tucked it into my pouch. Next time we visited the dungeon, we’d store it in one of the rooms in the Sky Castle on the first underground floor.

As for the bottle we’d gotten after defeating the floor boss—the Black Wolf—it turned out to be a mid-grade potion, despite looking like some weird energy drink.

After a quick chat, Misuzu and I decided to give it to Kenta as a gift.

With time to kill before our rendezvous with Kenta and the others, Misuzu and I headed to the second-floor cafeteria. There, sipping on cold sodas, we chatted and laughed, letting the tension of the dungeon melt away for a while.
