The Paper User: Exiled for a ‘Trash Skill,’ Awakens True Power and Rises with Two Unique Skills ,Volume 2 - Chapter 9

Chapter : Albel, Dazzle, and Camilla

While I was introducing Almine and the others to Raiza, a man in leather armor with short brown hair caught my eye.

That’s… Albel from the Holy Sword Party. And behind him were Dazzle and Camilla.

I used to team up with them when I was part of the Holy Sword Party. They all possessed multiple combat skills, and now, they’d climbed up to E-rank adventurers.

“Yo, Yakumo.”

Albel strode over to me.

“So your party took this job too?”

“Yeah. I had a chance to talk with the Flame Dragon Corps’ leader.”

“S-rank Melt, huh?”

Albel’s brow twitched at the name.

“…You sure know how to cozy up to strong people. First thing I know, you’re in Kinako’s party.”

“It’s not like that…”

I glanced at Kinako standing nearby.

“But yeah, she’s been teaching me how to fight.”

“Teaching you how to fight, huh?” Albel snorted.

“Even if you got lucky and made E-rank, learning from an A-rank adventurer isn’t gonna mean anything. The gap’s way too big.”

“Right? Hee-hee.”

Dazzle let out an unpleasant laugh.

“Yakumo doesn’t even have a combat skill. No matter how much you train, you’re never gonna get strong. It’s like planting wheat seeds in a desert.”

“Oh, that’s a good one.”

Camilla narrowed her eyes, lips curling into a smirk.

“But hey, credit where it’s due. For a guy with a useless unique skill, you’re really trying.”

“Yeah. A skill that just makes paper, and that paper disappears after a while? Can’t even sell it. Totally worthless.”

“Well, Yakumo’s always been lucky. He’ll probably scrape by even with that trash skill.”

“I wouldn’t bet on it,” Dazzle added, voice dripping with mockery. “Adventurers can die from one stroke of bad luck. Without real strength, you won’t last long. Hee-hee.”

He and Camilla exchanged a glance and burst out laughing.

“Hey, Yakumo!”

Albel jabbed a finger at my face.

“This job might mean fighting Dolls’ Cult fanatics. When that happens, don’t you dare drag us down.”

“Yeah… I’ll be careful.”

“...Tch.”

Albel clicked his tongue and walked off with Dazzle and Camilla in tow.
