“That’s only natural,” came a voice.

Kinako, who’d been silent until now, finally spoke.

“I’m an A-rank martial artist. Even if it’s just a mock battle, I’m not about to lose that easily.”

He scratched his head with his white claws.

“But lately, your strength has gone way beyond what I expected.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. You’ve got great combat instincts and lightning-fast judgment. You even pull off attacks that catch me completely off guard. Your strength is real. I’ll vouch for that.”

“See!?” Almine clapped me on the shoulder with both hands.

“You need to believe in us!”

“…Hmm.”

I folded my arms and thought it over.

Sure, I guess I’ve gotten stronger. Ever since that head injury, my thought process sped up, and in battle I can instantly pick the best move without hesitation.
