After listening to my story, the branch chief pressed a hand to his temple.

Does he have migraines?

Maybe I should ask Freesia to heal that too...?

As I was wondering, he suddenly snapped:

"Explain it in a way that actually makes sense!"

No choice—I had to explain again.

"I healed him using the power of a contracted light spirit!"

Even after that, the branch chief kept questioning me about various things.

"So basically, you have the Spirit User Job, and you’re contracted with light, darkness, and wind spirits?"

"Yes! That’s correct."

I’ve already said that, like, three times now...

"Alright, I more or less get it. If anything comes up, I’ll contact you. You’re free to go for today."

With that, I was dismissed, and I left the room to return to the first-floor lobby.

Back in the lobby, I was suddenly surrounded by the four male adventurers whose injuries I’d just healed.

All four of them were big guys with tough-looking faces.

Then one of them said:

"Thanks for what you did earlier!"

They all bowed their heads deeply.

The man who’d lost his left arm—the party leader—spoke up next.

"We want to thank you. It’s not much, but if you don’t mind, please come with us."

He began walking.

I followed him, and we went up to the second-floor cafeteria.

"Order whatever you like. I’m sorry, this is the least we can do."

I ordered a hotcake set.

All six of us sat down at a table and started talking.

The leader’s name was Kentaro Nakamori.

Apparently, the four of them had been childhood friends who formed a party together.

They asked me about the healing earlier, and I answered honestly.

Whether they believe me or not—that’s up to them.

But when I told them I used the power of contracted spirits, they all believed me!

"You healed me with your own power—why wouldn’t I believe it?"

Kentaro-san said that with a laugh.

Just then, his phone rang. He answered and said only:

"I’m on the second floor."

Then he hung up.

I heard someone running.

"Onii-chan [big brother], are you okay?!"

A young woman’s voice.

I turned around.

Yeah...

It was a face I recognized.
