Golden Week (Part 2)

The moment I passed through the Dungeon Gate, I found myself in a vast grassland!

It felt like something straight out of a novel phrase. ("A vast grassland stretched before me!"—that kind of thing.) (laughs)

A single road ran through the center, with grassy plains stretching endlessly to both sides.

To the right, there was a gently sloping hill.

According to the map, only slimes appear on this floor.

Spirits are invisible to the average person, so if a slime suddenly turned into a magic stone, people would definitely be surprised.

And even if I tried to explain something they couldn’t see, they probably wouldn’t believe me.

Yeah...

That would be a pain.

If I go beyond that hill on the right, I probably won’t be seen by anyone.

I set off, aiming for the hill.

Once I climbed over and came down the other side, I sat down on the grass.

Then, I called out to the spirits.

"Alright, I’ll leave the slime hunting to you as usual."

Right away, Anemone and Freesia began hunting slimes.

"Collecting all the magic stones looks like a hassle..."

As I muttered that to myself, Viola pointed toward the shadow of a nearby tree.

...There was a pile of magic stones!

Apparently, Viola had used Shadow Movement, a type of shadow magic, to gather them for me.

"Thanks, Viola."

I expressed my gratitude.

I walked over to the tree's shadow and started putting the magic stones into my drawstring pouch.

Since I’d just exchanged the previous batch for cash, the pouch was completely empty.

The stones kept piling up more and more.

"Stop!"

I called out.

The pouch was already full.

I thanked the spirits and retraced my steps back the way I came.
