Explorer’s Guild – Part 3

“Hey, Shiraishi-san, want to ride with us in the car?”
One of the female staff asked kindly.

“Really? That’s okay?” I asked, surprised.

“Yeah, we’re done for the day and heading back to the Explorer’s Guild. You’ll have to find your own way home afterward, though. If that’s alright, you’re welcome to come along.”

“Well, thanks! Is there anything I need to bring?”

“To register, there’s a 10,000 yen fee. And you’ll need some kind of ID.”

“I’m only fifteen, so I don’t have a driver’s license or anything like that… But I did just register my residency, so I have my residence certificate.”

“That works perfectly!”

So I went back home, grabbed my wallet and the certificate, and got into the car.

While she was driving, the staff member told me a bunch of stuff I didn’t know.
The reception was on the first floor. The second floor had a cafeteria and a little shop selling snacks and candy.
The floors above the third were a hotel — registered explorers got a discount there.

She explained that some explorers spend days deep inside dungeons, coming back exhausted. So the Guild built these facilities so they could eat and rest comfortably.

When we got to the Guild, I finished my registration, then headed back home.
