Explorers’ Guild, Part 1
I wanted to sell the magic stones I got from those slimes and turn them into some cash, so I started looking it up online.
Turns out, selling magic stones privately is actually against the rules.
Apparently, all magic stones have to be sold through the Explorers’ Association.
So, I checked out their website to get the details.
About ten years ago, dungeons started appearing all over the world.
At first, the military was handling the exploration, but eventually, a semi-governmental, semi-private group called the Explorers’ Association was set up. Now, explorers who are registered with them go into the dungeons to gather magic stones and other materials.
The Association buys everything the explorers bring back, then sells it to companies and research institutions.
Their headquarters are in Tokyo, with regional offices spread out across eight areas: Hokkaido, Tohoku, South Kanto, North Kanto, Chubu-Hokuriku, Kansai, Chugoku-Shikoku, and Kyushu-Okinawa.
Dungeons are ranked from S down to F, based on how much magical energy they contain.
Around where I live, there’s one C-rank dungeon and two D-rank dungeons. The C-rank dungeon has a branch office, and the D-rank dungeons only have smaller outposts.
I figured I’d call the branch office near the closest C-rank dungeon to my house and ask what I needed to do.
