I Summoned a Spirit (Part 2)

I picked up the second summoning card.

Then, just like before, I said, "Summon."

This time, a ball of light appeared, gently floating in the air before my eyes.

A light fairy, maybe?

Last time, when I formed a contract with a fairy, it evolved into a lower-class spirit. I wonder if that’ll happen again?

Well, before that—I need to actually form a contract, or it’s all meaningless…

I really hope this one will agree to a contract, too.

I held out my hands toward the floating ball of light and said, "Come here."

Just like before, it slowly drifted over and gently settled into my palms.

"Your name is Freesia. I named you after the yellow flower!"

As soon as I said that, a mechanical-sounding woman’s voice echoed in my head:

Now I’ve successfully made contracts with two spirits!

Freesia had golden hair, golden eyes, and golden wings.

She really looked like a light spirit through and through.

When I looked it up online earlier, I didn’t find anything about fairies or spirits. Maybe I’m the only Spirit User out there?

The fact is—I managed to contract with spirits. That makes me a Spirit User, no doubt about it.
