I Summoned a Spirit (Part 1)

I picked up one of the cards.

Then, just like the instructions I found online, I chanted:
"Summon."

Suddenly, right in front of me, a light green, softball-sized blob began to float and wobble gently in the air.

Is… is that the spirit?

For now, I cupped my hands together as if I were scooping up water.

"Come here!" I called out, and slowly, the floating blob drifted toward me—
—then gently settled into my open palms.

Looking down at the soft green orb, I spoke:
"Your name is Anemone. I named you after a flower the same color as you—light green."

I hope she likes it...

Just then, a brilliant light engulfed the room.

So bright—

I squeezed my eyes shut against the glare.

When the light finally subsided, I cautiously opened my eyes.

Floating before me now was a tiny girl—delicate like a doll, and hovering in the air.

A mechanical woman’s voice echoed in my mind:

《Contract with the Wind Fairy has been established. The Wind Fairy has evolved into a Lesser Wind Spirit.》

Her hair and eyes were both the same pale green, and a pair of matching wings fluttered on her back.

"She’s so cute... Anemone! You evolved into a sprit!"

When I said that, Anemone smiled sweetly and began to fly happily in circles above my head.
