Sōzoku Shita Sofu no Ie no Urayama ni Danjon ga Dekimashita - Chapter 113

Chapter: Takuya and Misuzu Explore the Dungeon – Basement Floor 6 (Part 2)

It seems I’ve acquired a rare skill called “Change.”

Change? What kind of skill is that supposed to be?

Does it swap things around… like switching A and B?

Hmm…

Well, I guess I’ll figure it out once I try it.

My body slowly floated downward, carried by Anemone’s wind magic.
When I finally touched the ground, Misuzu-san looked at me with concern.

“Did something happen?”

“There was a treasure chest,” I explained. “Inside, I found a rolled-up piece of paper. When I unrolled it to see what was written on it, there was a magic circle drawn… and then I ended up learning this skill called Change.”

“I’m just glad you’re safe, Takuya-san,” Misuzu-san said with a gentle smile.

Looks like she was worried about me.
…That makes me a little happy.

Well, should we head back now?
Just as that thought crossed my mind, the spirits started pointing in a different direction from before.

“Misuzu-san, according to the spirits, there’s still something else over that way. What do you think?”

“In that case, let’s go check it out!”

“Got it. This way then.”

We walked hand in hand, following the spirits’ lead.
We had been walking for quite a while when the spirits stopped in front of a massive tree.
Then they pointed at it.

“Misuzu-san, the spirits say… there’s something inside that tree.”

I explained the situation, and just as I finished, the spirits darted toward the enormous tree.
Ah! They’re gonna crash!
Or so I thought—only for them to pass straight through, as if the trunk had swallowed them whole.

Standing before the tree, I slowly reached out my right hand.
It didn’t hit the bark—it passed through like it wasn’t even there.

“…!”

Misuzu-san and I exchanged surprised looks.
She averted her gaze from me and reached out her own hand to touch the tree. Her fingers slipped through just like mine.

Next, I carefully stepped forward with my right foot.
Still no resistance.
Taking a breath, I walked straight in.

Inside, there was a tunnel—just wide enough for one person to pass through.
I tugged gently on Misuzu-san’s hand, and she followed me in.

“It’s a tunnel… inside the tree!” Misuzu-san exclaimed.

“Looks like it was hidden by some kind of illusion,” I replied.

The tunnel was too narrow for us to walk side by side, so I went first.
No traps along the way.
We descended a set of stairs and eventually reached the end—a room.

It was about the size of a twelve-tatami mat room.
The floor, walls, and ceiling were all made of stone.
And in the very center… a single glowing magic circle.

“Misuzu-san, I think it’s a teleportation circle,” I said. “But I have no idea where it leads. What should we do?”

“Let’s go!” she said with a bright smile. “We’re here to explore, right?”

Heh, guess there’s no turning back now.

Misuzu-san grabbed a bag filled with Shiratama in her right hand and cradled the mini-sized Snow in her left arm.
I slipped my arm around her waist, and the spirits clung close to me.

Then, together, we stepped into the glowing magic circle.
