Takaya Gets the Water Equipment (Part 2)
I exited the dungeon and sold off the magic stones.
After that, I paid the identification fee and requested an appraisal of the equipment I got from the treasure chest.
Items obtained from the dungeon are ranked on a six-tier scale, with F-rank being the lowest and A-rank the highest.
However, there’s an exception: items so extraordinary they don't fit into any standard rank are classified as S-rank.
After a short while, the appraisal was finished.
And what do you know—it was S-rank!
They explained that this equipment has magic enhancements.
The effects include physical resistance, magical resistance, automatic size adjustment, automatic temperature control, self-repair, and cleaning.
Also, the light-blue short sword activates a Water Spell when swung with the image of water in mind—it launches a blade of water.
Furthermore, when wearing the entire set, the magic effects help accelerate physical and magical recovery.
What an amazing set of gear!
I decided to give the whole set to Misuzu-san.
Her safety comes first.
Besides, the design is stylish, and I’m sure it’ll look great on her.
I want to see Misuzu-san wearing this equipment.
I’m filled with the urge to go home right away, but first, I need to report to the branch manager.
I headed to the office, but the branch manager, who had been working non-stop, apparently took a well-earned day off today.
Was his job so demanding that he had to work through holidays?
He left us a message: “I’d like the two of you to come together,” addressed to me and Misuzu-san.
I’ll coordinate schedules with her and visit another day.
While waiting for Kenta-san and the others to return, I relaxed in the cafeteria on the second floor with a glass of iced coffee.
After a while, they all came back safely.
When I showed Kenta-san the equipment I got from the treasure chest, he was stunned.
He said, “Even a C-rank dungeon can drop something this good?”
Dungeon ranks are determined by measuring the magical energy with a special device.
In other words, it’s a rank humans decided on arbitrarily.
Maybe dungeons operate on an entirely different system?
Kenta-san gave me a ride in his car, and we headed toward the Nakamori residence.
I wonder if Misuzu-san will be happy.
I hope she will.

魔石 (magic stones): Common currency/resource in isekai settings, harvested from monsters or dungeons.
-
装備ランク (Equipment Rank): The six-rank system (F to A), with S-rank being an exceptional outlier, is a common trope indicating ultra-rare items.
-
水魔法 (Water Magic): Triggered through thematic intent ("imagine water")—typical of enchantment-based combat.
-
自動修復・クリーン: “Auto-repair” and “Clean” are popular fantasy RPG enchantments that keep equipment in top condition.
-
Cランクダンジョン: C-rank indicates a mid-tier dungeon in difficulty, making the drop of an S-rank item particularly lucky or plot-significant.
