Sōzoku Shita Sofu no Ie no Urayama ni Danjon ga Dekimashita - Chapter 37

Nakamori-san’s First Dungeon – Part 2

After leaving the dungeon, we exchanged the magic stones for money.

The total was… over 240,000 yen.

I discussed the split with Nakamori-san.

She said my spirits had done more of the slime hunting, so I should take 200,000 yen and she’d take the rest.

But I suggested we split it 50/50 since we’re a party.

Even as we talked, we couldn’t seem to agree.

Then I remembered something—when you form a party, you can deposit money not just as individuals, but as a party fund.

So I made a suggestion to Nakamori-san:

“How about we each take 20,000 yen, and put the remaining 200,000 into a party fund? For our future… the two of us.”

You never know what’ll come up.

If we need to buy something important for the party, it’ll be a problem if we’re short on funds.

“What do you think?”

For some reason, Nakamori-san lowered her head and her face turned bright red.

“...For our future... the two of us...”

She mumbled something, but her voice was too quiet to catch.

“Nakamori-san?”

When I called her name, she looked up.

“Yeah, you’re right. We’ll need money for the future. Let’s save up together!”

Since she agreed, we deposited 200,000 yen into the party fund and split the remaining 40,000 yen between us as cash.

Later, we met up with Kenta-san’s party in the lobby.

They were taking a while since they had to remove and store their gear in the lockers.

Afterward, we all got in the car and headed home.

“Takuya, what are you doing tomorrow?”

Kenta-san asked from the driver’s seat.

Golden Week ends tomorrow.

The day after, school starts again.

But I had nothing planned for tomorrow.

Then it hit me.

We’d only gone down to the second floor of the dungeon—so tomorrow, let’s go to the third!

I told Kenta-san I planned to explore the third floor.

One of his party members explained that B3 had several lakes, with fish-type monsters.

And that, oddly enough, one of those lakes had no monsters at all, for some unknown reason.

Also, there were “Horned Rabbits” on land—rabbit-type monsters that were aggressive, fast, and attacked using the horn on their heads.

I decided I wanted to try fishing.

Apparently, there’s a dungeon where a lot of insect-type monsters spawn, and they drop thread, which is ideal for making fishing line. I got that tip from the party too.

As we talked, Nakamori-san said she would go too.

“We’re a party, so of course we go together. Besides… we’ve got to keep saving funds...”

Her face was red again.

But… yeah, that felt like something I shouldn’t ask about.

I’ll just let it go.

Kenta-san said,
“I’ll drive you again tomorrow. Come over to my place. You can have breakfast too while you’re at it.”

“Thank you very much,” I said gratefully.
