As expected, there were multiple corpses.

"Does that mean I can’t ‘Store’ something unless I recognize it? ‘Store!’"

Stored Items:
Weeds x 163,853, Iron Sword (damaged) x 6, Iron Scabbard (damaged) x 6, Magic Iron Helmet (damaged) x 4, Magic Iron Helmet (destroyed) x 2, Leather Helmet (destroyed) x 1, Magic Iron Armor (destroyed) x 6, Leather Armor (destroyed) x 1, Leather Bag - Medium (destroyed) x 1, Small Leather Pouch (destroyed) x 7, Copper Coins x 61, Silver Coins x 9, Parchment (destroyed) x 1, Human Corpse () x 7.

"There’s a corpse with different gear. ‘Deploy!’"

Tenma chanted “Deploy” with a vague hope of retrieving “the corpse with the leather bag.” A corpse appeared, lying face up. It wore leather armor and helmet, a leather bag, and a small pouch, from which seven coins had spilled through a tear.

The gear was so filthy, worn, and covered in moss and mold that without prior knowledge, you wouldn’t realize it was leather. The parchment was probably inside the bag. There were no visible fatal wounds on the corpse.

Tenma wanted to check inside the bag but honestly didn’t feel like touching it.

"I wish it was a bit cleaner… Oh right, ‘Cleanse!’"

He imagined light purifying the dirt, moss, and grime, then chanted “Cleanse.”

A faint glow enveloped the items, particles of light rising. As the light ascended, the dirt and moss vanished.

When the light faded, Tenma cautiously touched the bag’s surface. It felt neither slimy nor unpleasant. The corpse’s skin looked surprisingly pale. The leather armor was faded and brittle but otherwise clean.

He flipped open the bag’s flap, took out the parchment, and examined it.

The writing was faded and unreadable but the parchment wasn’t destroyed. There were insect holes here and there, but it still seemed usable.

"Appraisal!"

The appraisal read:
Parchment (Calfskin) — Status: Normal.

Next, he chanted “Store” and checked his stored items again:

Parchment: Calfskin x 1.

Tenma pulled the parchment out from subspace storage and tilted his head.

"I knew parchment was animal hide, so when it first showed as ‘parchment’ but unreadable, it was listed as ‘destroyed’? Then after knowing it’s calfskin and cleaning it, the ‘destroyed’ status disappeared? Also, Magic Iron changed from ‘metal’ to ‘Magic Iron.’ Is my knowledge affecting the stored item labels? But copper oxide stayed as ‘copper coin,’ huh?"

He muttered while staring at the parchment.

"Well, no use overthinking it. Let’s run."

With that, he stored everything and took off running.
